Steve Valcourt appointed VP, Procurement

To all Customers, Employees and Vendors,

I am pleased to announce that effective September 15, 2009 Steve Valcourt has been appointed Vice President, Procurement for USESI Region 1 (Northern New England) and Region 2 (Southern New England).  In this capacity, Steve will work to ensure the efficient and effective operations of the procurement functions for Electrical Wholesalers, Standard Electric Supply and Hampden Zimmerman in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Connecticut.  He will report to an Executive Committee comprised of Carl Brand, Ted Dlugolecki, John Reznick, Mark Lauria and me.  He will be based out of Stoughton, Massachusetts. 

With more than 50 branch locations and two 150,000+ square foot Central Distribution Centers, USESI has more coverage and service capacity than any other single electrical distributor in New England.  USESI has a unique opportunity to coordinate our purchasing efforts and bring more value to our customers by continuously improving our fill rates.  Steve has done an excellent job over the span of his career which has included a variety of sales, branch management, operations and IT roles.  We have great confidence in his leadership ability in this key Regional role.
